General Motors has reason to celebrate after the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray won the Car of the Year Award during the press preview day of the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Chevrolet (a division of General Motors) swept both of the day’s major awards, with the Silverado pickup truck nabbing Truck of the Year honors.
In addition, Toyota surprised many at the Detroit auto show with its introduction of the FT-1 concept sports car, its “spiritual pace car” for the future that draws on a robust history of sports cars.
