Attracting young and old, men and women, they were all fans of the children’s animated fantasy series based on Hasbro’s My Little Pony line of toys and animated works. Some participants attended because they enjoy the show and like to dress up. But to others, the community and fandom are everything.
Stevie Anderson of Plymouth, Mass., dressed up as Pinkie Pie and was attending his third BronyCon. “It’s an entirely different world,” he said. “If there are differences, we put them aside.”
John Price of Omaha, Neb., added, “BronyCon reflects the goodness that should be in humanity.”
The event continues through Sunday.
