Surfing competition beside historic Huntington Pier
This is the 56th year that the Vans US Open of Surfing has taken place beside the historic Huntington Pier. It has been called The West Coast Surfing Championship, Op Pro, and then The US Open of Surfing since it was first held in 1959. The event runs from July 25th to August 2nd, 2015 with some of the best surfers in the world competing.
