The 139th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show was held at Madison Square Garden on February 16-17, 2015. The event featured 192 dog breeds and drew nearly 3,000 global competitors.
Miss P, a 15-inch beagle, handled by William Alexander, won “Best in Show” on Tuesday night.

These dog shows make me sad. They glorify breeding purebreds when there are so many amazing dogs in shelters awaiting adoption. I rescued my mixed breed dog from a shelter and she is healthy, loving and adorable. Why create more dogs (often with health problems from inbreeding) when so many already exist?
