2014 FIFA World Cup: Germany, Portugal, and Belgium win their games. Algeria and Russia tie 1-1.
While heavy rains impact the field as USA-Germany go head-to-head in Recife, Portugal and Ghana meet in Brasillia. The German team defeated the U.S. team 1-0 but the United States team advanced to the next stage with Portugal’s defeat of Ghana 2-1. Portugal will not advance despite the win. Algeria and Russia tied 1-1 leading the Algerian team to advance and the Russian team to pack their bags. Also Korea Republic lost to Belgium 1-0 and failed to advance. Belgium had already qualified for the next round.
