Florentijn Hofman’s floating duck sculpture called “Spreading Joy Around the World” has been warming the hearts of onlookers everywhere. Since 2007, the inflatable duck has traveled to 10 countries and 12 cities. Most recently, the some 54 ft installation spent time in Hong Kong from May 2 to June 9. According to Hofman’s Facebook page, the next stop for the rubber ducky is Pittsburgh, U.S.A.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake officiated at a mass same-sex wedding ceremony Sunday in Druid Hill Park during the Baltimore Pride Festival.
Thousands of revelers packed the streets of Mount Vernon Saturday for Baltimore’s annual gay pride celebration. A parade kicked off the festivities with Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake serving as grand marshal.
Hans Marx, a self-taught photographer, worked for The Baltimore Sun from 1937 to 1955. His award-winning career was capped in 1953 when he was recognized as the Newspaper Photographer of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association.
