Lunching with the elephants
Five elephants, stars of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey’s Circus, had “brunch” at Lexington Market this afternoon after marching up Eutaw Street under a crisp blue sky. They dined on bananas, lettuce and watermelons and were cheered by scores of excited spectators who crowded the market’s parking lot.
The elephants were joined by several circus clowns and an emcee in an effort to promote the “Dragons” circus show which runs through this weekend.

I’m very upset. I took an early lunchbreak and rushed over to Lexington Market. I drove around for 20 min looking for parking, finally found it. By the time I got over to the market at 12:15 the elephants were gone. They must have been there a lot earlier than their 12pm prediction. Very sad I missed them and had to fight the traffic.
