- BEST OVERALL: This picture was taken with a T-mobile My Touch. The photographer stated, “When I captured this photo I saw two things that symbolized the moment: beauty and death. Here lies a moment that symbolizes the end of a beautiful season.” We chose it as best overall for simpler reasons. The photograph is clean, beautifully composed and has wonderful light. The muted but striking colors add an additional element to a very nice image. (Photo by Irene Renee Aguilar)

- BEST SCENIC PHOTO: The picture was taken at Assateague Island and was shot at Tom’s Cove when the tide was rolling in. The photographer was being teased by a friend that there was no way he could capture the breathtaking vista on a cell phone camera. Seems he got the last laugh with this beautiful picture. The picture was taken with a Motorola Backflip. (Photo by Thomas Marr IV)
- BEST SKYLINE: This photograph was snapped with an iPhone 4, using the 360 Panorama app and effects from the Camera+ app. It was taken from the roof of the parking garage on the 1000 block of N. Charles Street, next to the Belvedere. (Photo by Paul Gardner)
- BEST SUNRISE/SUNSET: The photographer shot this picture at the Potomac River Pier at sunset with an iPhone 4. (Photo by Mitch Zeissler)
- BEST USE OF FILTERS: This night photo is taken somewhere around Lancaster Street in Fells Point, with an antique post-processing filter. The quietness and the lights made for a nostalgic moment. (Photo by Christos Kontogeorgakis)
