Famed photographer Neil Leifer – whose iconic photography is currently on exhibit at the Sports Legend Museum – will tell you without hesitation, which of his many photographs is his favorite picture taken during his illustrious career. And it’s not one you might expect.
The Baltimore Sun has a rich history of great photographers and one of my personal favorites is Richard Stacks. His images are part art and part journalism. He is a master of light and composition and is able to maximize both qualities in his images.
The Baltimore region is full of character and life, and so are the people who live here. Their photos have filled the pages of The Sun since 1901, when photos were first published in the newspaper. They’ve made news, changed history and often entertained our readers. With this in mind, we look at some of the people who helped define our great city. These are just a few. Who do you feel we left out? We would love to hear your suggestions in the comments.
