Skiers competed in the third stage of the 65th Four Hills ski jumping tournament in Innsbruck, Austria on Jan. 3. The four World Cup events that make up the tournament take place at Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen.

Christmas markets are opening across Germany this week in a tradition that dates back centuries, Getty reports. For the next four weeks the Christmas markets, which are usually located on the main square of the hosting town or village, will provide holiday cheer with mulled wine, sausages, Christmas ornaments and other delights.
