“Rough Cut” is a loose edit from The Baltimore Sun’s photographic coverage of the Orioles post season game. This week photojournalists Karl Merton Ferron, Kenneth K. Lam and Jerry Jackson photographed the Baltimore Orioles as they take on the Detroit Tigers in game one of the American League Division Series.
General Motors has reason to celebrate after the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray won the Car of the Year Award during the press preview day of the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Chevrolet (a division of General Motors) swept both of the day’s major awards, with the Silverado pickup truck nabbing Truck of the Year honors.
In addition, Toyota surprised many at the Detroit auto show with its introduction of the FT-1 concept sports car, its “spiritual pace car” for the future that draws on a robust history of sports cars.
This month the city of Detroit is making its case in court, proving itself eligible for bankruptcy protection after declaring bankruptcy back in July.
