It’s The Baltimore Sun’s first photowalk, and we’re teaming up with Baltimore Heritage to explore the historic parks and neighborhoods of Southwest Baltimore, with stops at Hollins Market, H.L. I’ll Have Another from Kentucky Derby to Preakness Stakes

The 2012 Preakness was billed as a rematch between Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another and runner-up Bodemeister. It was exactly that. In the end, I’ll Have Another went on to win the 137th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. His next stop is the Belmont Stakes in New York for a chance to win the Triple Crown in June. The last Triple Crown winner was Affirmed in 1978.

Turf Valley in Ellicott City hosted its fifth annual Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival from May 10-12. Patuxent photographer Sarah Pastrana got an early look Thursday morning, while Brian Krista came out at night to see the balloons light up the sky for the evening glow.
