Mt. Gox files for bankruptcy as 850,000 bitcoins go missing

Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox announced Friday that it has filed for bankruptcy protection, admitting that it had lost 850,000 bitcoins. The company said it lost 750,000 bitcoins belonging to customers, and an additional 100,000 of its own bitcoins. Those bitcoins today would be worth more than $450 million. Mt. Gox also said it has debts of about $63.6 million. -Reuters

China continues to suffer a pollution crisis, with Beijing shrouded in acrid smog. Authorities have introduced anti-pollution policies and often pledged to clean up the environment but the problem has not eased. In October 2013, clouds of smog blanketed Harbin in China’s Heilongjiang province. According to reports, visibility was cut to 33 feet.

People always warned me that I would keep filling all free space on my iPhone with images and video of our daughter, Karah Elizabeth Ferron. Needless to say, there was no argument.

Within eight months of her birth, over 10,000 iPhone captures were already made, with an intent to document our little girl’s growth and milestones. In the pictures and video, she seems uncomfortable as her mother, Megan Denarah Ferron, bathes her on February 1. On July 23, she gets her first spoon of baby food. She uses all her strength months later to crawl for the first time September 13.
