Here is a series of photo compilations from a softball game between Wilde Lake and Oakland Mills high schools on Tuesday, May 6. [More on compiling the photos below.]
The photos were shot using a Nikon D3s and a Nikon D610 with a 300mm f/4 lens and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (intechangably). The D3s is capable of shooting about 9 images per second and the D610 shoots 6 images per second. To create the compilations, I overlapped the three (or four) selected images in Photoshop and aligned them according to elements in the background (fences, grass lines, trees, etc.), and lowered the opacity of the second image to about 50 percent and the third image to about 30 percent.
